When McCain picked Palin to be his running mate, the world erupted with praise and conservative orgasms. Then, when the light of truth was shined on her, well, we all know the rest. Natal is the same fucking thing. Vaporware meant to prevent new Wii customers.

Fascinating

8 May 2009

How come when people talk about the Wii’s lack of games, and how it’s only being propped up by Nintendo titles, the conversation is all about “impending failure,” and when they do the same for the PSP, which is literally only alive in Japan because of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G, it’s “about to turn the corner”?

Seriously. Can I become an analyst now? This guy literally only exists because of lazy blog reporting. His “analysis,” such as it is, consists of little more than red meat quotes for small minded people. He’s been wrong, literally, about pretty much everything relating to video games for the past three years. Douche.

Deep thoughts

Do we all really, seriously believe that the PS3’s only problem right now is its price?

I seriously thought my RSS feeds were screwy this afternoon. I mean, another analyst saying that this is going to be the year for the PS3? But no, a few double takes and a face palm later, there is OTX’s Nick Williams being a total douche. When he’s completely wrong and we look back at this in 2010 from atop the mountain of discarded PS3s, will we at least be able to say he was fired? Probably not. He’ll probably have “senior analyst” status by that time because, you know, in this industry we actually reward video game analysts who are wrong more than they’re right.

You just know your system is fucked when the second largest publisher in the world is “crossing its fingers” in regards to its future, instead of, you know, pimping new games for it. Clap harder, PS3 fans!

Exclusive? Timed exclusive? Who gives a shit? Lost Planet 2 could be either, but we know it’s coming out on the Xbox 360, and that’s all that really matters when the systems are so similar. Sony is once again relegated to the sloppy seconds corner. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.

Say what you mean

More PR bullshit from Sony. Now we know that God of War 3 will probably be battling it out with Final Fantasy XIII sometime in 2010. Hope the PS3 is still around!

I’m still waiting on that grandiose investigative expose from some enterprising games journalist who outs that the real reason all these developers and publishers are going under/making cuts has nothing to do with the recession and everything to do with the kinds of bloated multimillion dollar games they were creating.

Surprisingly, EA might understand what’s going on. I stress might.

Live from Las Vegas: Even in victory, Blu-Ray will still be seen, ultimately, as another expensive Sony failure.
